Leaf Spot- This disease is most often found on Dracaenas and Diffenbachias. It is characterized by moist brown spots that appear on the leaves. In severe cases, the spots merge and kill the entire leaf. Leaf Spot is caused by a combination of bacteria and fungi. The best treatment is to remove affected leaves, spray with a fungicide, and water sparingly for a few weeks. also avoid splashing cold water on the leaves as this will create or further spread the fungus,, Don't over water this winter,, Personally I'd take all the rocks off the top and pour boiling water over them and lay them to dry completely,, Could be the soil isn't getting enough air circulation with the rocks on top of the soil. IF you like the rock look maybe use sterilized pea gravel and sprinkle on sparingly will will have a nice look to it!

Thank you so much. Where would I get fungicide to spray on? Is there a "homegrown" option?

AngelBlossum you helped me too. I have the same problem with my dieffenbachia tiki. I've had it since late last spring. I tried adjusting its light, it's water and checking often for pests. I still had no change. I would still get those moist brown patches on the leaves. Meanwhile, all my other diefs are thriving. I only have part of the plant left and it doesn't look good. I think I may end up having to toss it. BUT.... At least I know now what's wrong with it.

Amanda, maybe you can take a cutting of a healthy section before you toss? I think the big companies dip their cuttings in 5% or so bleach to water to sterilize it when they do in vitro propagation (micropropagation)

The directions on the fungicide are very ambiguous. Should I spray and let sit and dry, spray and wipe off, spray and let sit for a while and then wipe off? Any advice??? Thanks!

Opps I meant to get back here and post Sorry! Yep just spray it on and let it dry,, don't over saturate tho, Another problem with leave spotting is using tap water,, because of all the flouride in it,, Try to use distilled water or catch rain water for plant
