Those greenhouse thingies look perfect for planting seeds! Now I want to go to Walmart in search of them. Thanks for showing.

PS - not sure if you would need to water or not. Should have come with directions on the cover or box. Hmmmm. Maybe mist them? Others?

You wet the peat pellets to expand them.

Toposh: I have some of those pellets:

My instructions say:

"Set tray in a warm, bright location such as a windowsill and keep pellets consistently moist during germination. After 5 to 8 weeks, transplant into larger pots or to the garden after all danger of frost is past."

I hope this helps. thumbup

You will have to water, and open the lid once sprouts start to come up for air. I didn't and all mine died from dampning off lol lesson learnt! You will need to water the pellets occassionally, when the seeds sprout they should be taking water from the pellets. The lid will help keep some water in.

Oh fun!! I would like to try one of those Jiffy greenhouse things.. but my problem is I really don't have anywhere to put it for it to get good lighting.. I decided to try winter sowing this year instead.. we shall see.
