Lowe's and Home Depot already have their spring supply of dahlias, lilies, caladiums, elephant ears, etc. It seems it gets earlier every year. I don't mind, it makes me look forward to spring even more, but it also makes me buy what I want too early because if I wait, they usually end up either selling out of what I want or they rot from sitting in those plastic bags they are sold in. Walmart usually isn't far behind. so they'll probably get there's in soon as well. I didn't care much for their selection last year, but the year before that was great...they a ton of different dahlias and lilies.

although I was at home depot here yesterday & they had nothing yet--so perhpas I will luck out, & they will stock later here-- prayers

Wal-mart is just getting ready here too--I went in last week for some garden flags--& they said nope not yet--it is too early.

last year, at Lowe's end of sesason sale I bought some East Friesland Salvia--for a steal of a price--and I had it in good shape before the end of the growing season here--if It makles it thru the winter--I will be good to go thumbup

Hi everyone, We have a new Lowes and HomeDepot here this year, I haven't been in either one yet. Its way to early for us up here so I hope they haven't started getting too much yet. I know what you mean about the bulbs going bad by the time you're ready for them. I avoid buying them for that reason. I work at Wal Mart and we are getting some stuff in, but not plants yet. They haven't started putting too much out yet though.

Love your frogs JunieGirl

Wow.. so early?? I guess I better get to looking around.. we don't have Home Depot here.. but we have Walmart and Lowes.. and Kmart. Oh and a Tractor Supply Company.. Another good place to check for bulbs and seeds is Dollar General and Family Dollar if you have those in your areas....
