I have everything, except for the Dahlia, Happy Single Party, and the only place I find them is the expensive place that kennyso got the disappointing cone flower from. Anyone see these Dahlia's before?

I want to steal that idea. That is beautiful combo.
McClure and Zimmerman have Dahlia Sunshine it might be close. You can check them out they only want 3.00 for it. I have ordered from them and they are very good and ship really fast.
If you cannot find them PM me and I will give you the site address. They do not show pictures on their site.

Correction - I did not make this, it IS a picture from a magazine, I can't take the credit; I said this is my plan for my containers this year and a window box along my garage. I'll take pictures of MY creations with these plants though. Hope they turn out close to this!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Okay, just do us a favor, next time you use someone else's photo, just give credit :list: to where you got it from.... It's still a "Great~Plan" if you end up getting the end results like that.. Keep us posted on how it comes out..

Anyone see these Dahlia's before? Wheezy - sorry, I thought I was clear saying this was my plan and I was looking for the Dahlia listed in this grouping, which I broke, and ordered 3 the other day at $10.00 each! White flower Farm. What is in your container? Are those begonia's? I can't grow those! Do they need more shade than sun? I heard you should let the soil dry out before you water it, that still didn't work for me last year. How/what is in there and how!? That's GORGEOUS! Winter Snow Storm for us starting tonight, 6 inches of snow. HELP ME!!!

I've been getting BLIZZARD and WHITE OUT CONDITIONS HERE, So, I know how you feel, trust me... What's in the hanging basket? Begonia, Sweet potato Vine, and a Lantana.. The colors' all just POPPED at me.. It was gorgeous.. and I kept the Begonia on the side of the lantana and it kept it shaded... So, that worked out good for both plants, one likes sun, the other likes a bit of shade.. but you know what, my mom stick Begonia's right out in the sun.. where we have some baskets, it's about noon to evening sun.. and as long as we water, they are good to go....

Nope....
My father~in~law's late wife's grandson owns a nursery, about an hour and a half away from here, we took a longggggg trip there, with a bunch of kids, and my mother and f~i~l and my husband... ON A VERRRRRRRRRRRRY HOT DAY... We never looked for tags, just color and thru them in the car and went home... Planted them up and that's about the end of it...
But those plants were beautiful.. good hardy stock and just worth the money!!!! That thing bloomed from the time I got it, until frosts' hit it in the fall time..

Beautiful basket, Weezie!
Patty - those begonias are called non-stop begonias. I grew a few of them 2 summers ago - but mine did not like full sun at all.
Here is a link to a google image search of them - you might find a color/name you like there.

Patty - those begonias are called non-stop begonias. oops, I thought she knew what kind/type it was, just didn't know the exact name of it... I thought she meant like the name of the certain kind of Begonia, like *I'm making these up* "Pink Sweetheart" or "Flamigo rose", I knew they were Non~Stop~Begonias'..

Yes, Weezie - I'm sure she is looking for the particular name of your begonia, but I just thought I'd share a link to pictures of some, in case you didn't know it.

Find dahlia bulbs at super walmart, home depot and lowe's. I don't know if the particular kind you are looking for is there. Here may be some helpful info for you. After the season, I keep my container dahlia bulbs in my greenhouse over the winter. They come back in the spring in the container. I have had luck for several years with this method.

Is your greenhouse heated all winter? Oh duh - I just saw where you lived. Not like ND! :) I know I can dig up Dahlia's and store them in the basement for the winter - didn't try it last year, but after I paid $10.95 for each, I just ordered 3, I will be doing this!
