I'm just wondering what seeds you other Louisianaians are planting. Also, what are your favorite seed catalogs/websites?

Hi Jennifer,

I'm from further north so I don't know about what would grow best in your area. I use a few catalogs/online companies to order my seed/supplies from since each will carry something a little different.

Parkseed.com
TMseeds.com
Selectseeds.com (for harder to find seeds)
Gardners.com (more for supplies,ornaments, birdfeeders...)

Hope this helps.
Kathy

Hi Jennifer! wavy
Glad to have another Louisianan here with us. Logee's is a neat catalog you may find interest in.

What is your plant zone?

Floweringchild - Thanks for the warm welcome! I am in 8B, you should be the same correct? Are you growing anything yet? So far my peas are doing the best. They must be 8" high and with really strong stalks.

Outdoors, I have some petunias that reseeded from last year that are coming up and a few tulips and an amaryllis that is poking it's head out. It has rained ALL day here. From the looks of the radar it looks like you got some rain too?

(Sorry if I am rambling, I had a root canal and am on pain meds ;)

Hi Jennifer! wavy Hmmm, zone 8b Pontchatoula? I'm zone 9a, Metairie. I've not planted any seeds of yet. But, various little leaves are showing their little heads!
