I got an offer from Gardeners Choice on this tree. They say it grows from week to week.. shock
Any thoughts or opinions on this tree? I was thinking about getting one but.... why

You may want to read this article on it and decide for yourself-- there are
positives and negatives. It's an introduced escapee in some areas.

greg, i don't know if you remember jillie and/or joanne, but they were pretty active on the old forum. they had one. i dont' know much about them other than they have potential for the wood in developing areas.

I have to admit, though, to being intrigued by the value placed
on its timber by the Japanese. In a Japanese marriage the parents of the bride would,by tradition,would present her with a hope chest made of paulownia

I have my own place..but its an apt. so it limits what i can plant there. Right now i'm addicted to bearded iris and daylilies. flwr
I go over and help my parents with our yard there. grin We try and plant a tree every year for Arbor Day. Autumn Blaze Maple will probably be our 2008 pick. nooo prayers

For the heck of it, check out the Japanese Cedar cryptomeria japonica, a fast grower and an attractive conifer.
