hi everyone...
Recently I purchased a "bishop's cloak" plant... and so far have not been able to find anything regarding its care. I've been all over the Net with no results. Hopefully someone can enlighten me.
The plant is about three feet tall, with broad, ribbed leaves crowned with a cluster of rose colored blooms. Perhaps I was told the wrong name for it?
I live in southeast texas, near the coast... so we have a longer growing season. The plant is blooming now and I would like to get it in the ground as soon as possible as it appears to be rather rootbound in its present container.
Thank you for any help.

The flower you are referring to is Odontonema strictum, often called Cardinals Cloak.
