Greetings from the Central Valley. Yesterday, a big storm came through with lots of rain. My garden has good drainage, but if it gets more than a half inch of rain in an hour or less, it floods. My heart sank when I checked on my garden. My pea seedlings were under two inches of water. I dug a ditch to drain the water. I saved them from drowning.

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
