My daughter got a Hyacinth as a housewarming present. It has since died back.. but she is not allowed to plant anything like that outside.. she lives in an apartment.

She called me and asked me if I wanted it. I do.. but I am not sure how to take care of it.. I have never had them before. Do I wait til it gets warm to plant it or should I plant it while it is still cold? If I set the pot outside now, and then plant when the ground softens a bit, will it come back again this spring.. or is it done til next year?? why

It is probably done until next year. You can plant it in the ground as soon as it softens enough to plant.
