I closed Friday at 4:30 pm.

It will be a day I will never forget. First buying on the 29th a Leap Year. It took me an hour to get to the closing because the roads were so bad. We were having a snow, rain, ice storm. Normally it would have taken me 15 minutes. All the papers were not there, the seller (bank) is located in California and they thought they still had hours to get the papers faxed over. If I ever want another house I am just going to squat in it and wait for someone to take me out of it. Forget this buying process.

Now the fun begins. But I am off to Arizona Monday, then San Antonio, Texas in two weeks. The in between weeks I will get the contractor moving. I am on the road every other week from now until August.

I will not start moving for about 4 months maybe less. But I think June will be good weather and getting the house the way I want it to look will take about that long. This is not a turn key property. But it is what I wanted. I like to put my stamp on where I live . I was not looking for perfect, just the rooms and layout of room and the acre of land. (survey came out to 4 acres)

I will try to get some pics of the property tomorrow. I will have a truck load of soil brought in to get rid of all the grass. There are so many mature trees on the property so I have to wait and see what I have. I hope there are some fruit trees. Pennsylvania gardens usually always have apple trees so those are probably there but I want blackberries, and plum. I had a plum tree on one of the properties I owned they were delicious, better than any I have every brought at the grocery store.

I really like the look of the house and you have some nice acreage to work with! I like putting my own stamp on a house and making it my own....That makes it fun.

thank you all for sharing in my joy. Also, listening to me go on and on about septic. After the inspection they said it was replaced 15 years ago so I feel pretty good about the septic. Also, the new survey showed the property was larger than one acre it is a multi-parcel sale so I ended up with a total of 4 acres. I am looking forward to the fun of fixing bringing the property back to its glory.




????? Do you mean gas for travel? If that is what you are talking about I fly and the company pays. I will not be driving.
