Queen Marie's periwig is actually a semi rare item. It is quite amusing though. Getting it off a pet can get tricky as well.

It is a fun age. He hasn't even had his Webkinz for a week but it is amazing how much he has figured out in there already. One thing that I have noticed is that at first he would go try and buy things and ask me why he couldn't buy it. I would have to tell him that it said that he didn't have enough money. Now he looks at how much money he has and then how much whatever he wants costs and will say....hey mom I can buy this or I don't have enough money for this. I thought that was neat!! thumbup

Jiffy if you have a stove or sandwich maker or blender, when you click on them a box pops up. You can drag 3 foods to it and 'cook' them up. I have pages and pages of real recipes printed out.

Hockey is a fairly common CSO (curio shop only). Medieval is semi-common except for a few pieces, like the bed, dresser and sofa. And the med. tv is very rare. It is all fun to collect when you see stuff. I miss the rares quite often. But as you move up the levels in the curio shop at the top level Arte will tell you when a rare is coming up for sale. Lately, he has lied a couple of times about the time. I think ganz is still working out their curio shop schedule.

I've noticed Arte doesn't tell the right time for the rares if I ask him between 12am-2am. If I wait until the morning and ask he's been pretty acurate for me. I wish we knew what was going to be there, but the time is better than nothing.

Jiffy, you get to different levels by how much stuff you buy from the curio shop and by tipping Arte.

The levels move up fairly randomly depending on how often you shop and if you tip Arte. You can tell you have moved up a level by what Arte says when you enter the shop. His greeting get a little warmer. (It freaked me out a bit at first) When he says "There you are! My shop is your shop." You know you've reached the seventh (top) level. Thenwhen you ask about rares he flips out a sign with a time on it.

You tip by clicking on his tip can. It gives you options from $10 to $100 or something. I don't tip anymore unless he gives me a lot for a gem.

We never did tip. We just bought a lot of stuff very regularly. We've been on the 7th level for quite a while.

I've been going back through all of the w shop themes to make sure we have all the pieces to each them. It's been quite expensive filling in the gaps. It's been awhile since they've retired a theme. I wouldn't be shocked if they did soon. I've noticed the lilypad and ice themes have been in the curio shop a lot lately.

I'm a little disappointed about the wish tokens. You have to collect 10 to use the 'Wish Machine' for an exclusive item. Unless they do the Wheel of Wishes fairly regularly and you win wish tokens, it's not all that feasable. You would have to wait months and months and adopt the POTM every month to get the tokens. I think being able to do the Wish Machine after you've collected 5 or 6 tokens would a been a little more realistic. Maybe they'll come up with something that makes it easier to get the tokens.

I hope they have the wheel of wishes often. There is no way I am buying a lot of POTm's to get them. And right now they are not taking them. It is supposed to store them for you. Mine wouldn't go in.
I'm not into pink. But if you are the new room theme is cute.

And some of the tokens are super tokens. You don't know until you deposit them. I'm not sure exactly what super token means.

I don't think I care for the new theme. It's a little too monotone.

We really haven't gotten into buying the POTM. We adopted one. It seems every month that we have the 'other' size of the pet. Like this month, we have a big pig, not a Lil Kinz. I just don't see a need in buying the other size just for the loot bag.

Brennan likes the items, but he isn't just determined to get them. He really wants the UFO, but other than that he just thinks they're neat and doesn't have to have them. Thank goodness.

I want to try to get the bengal tiger and snake. I haven't been to Hallmark in the past week to see if they have them or not. I would say the bengal is going to be super hard to get here in Cinci Bengals country.

The new pink theme is BORING! rspb I'll buy it though just to have it, but I don't love it or anything.

10 tokens sure is a lot for the wish machine.

Oh and that snake, I def. want him. clap And the mouse when it comes out too. grin

Holy Cow, a Zingoz just floated across my screen.

I clicked him and it said Zingozman! Wacky's given you a Candy Hyper Bat! Wacky Plush Toys now available.

Anyone else get one?

Wow cool stuff Loz. I haven't gotten any flying zingoz. I read about them somewhere today though. I haven't spent enough time in my rooms. Cleaning house and running all over town today. Back to the vacuum now.

Hey, sorry I just saw your post. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to make money go to Quizzy's Corner. There you can answer trivia questions for kinz cash (Webkinz equivelant to money). Answering trivia questions also opens up options in the employment office to do more jobs. Some jobs require that you have answered 50 questions in a specific catagory. Every 8 hours you can go to the employment office to earn money. There are different levels of jobs for different amount of kinz cash. My favorite way to make kinz cash is in the arcade and tournament arena. You can play games for kinz cash. In the tournament arena if you score high enough you can make even more money. Most of all just have fun. If you have any questions just ask. You'll be addicted to it in no time.

There are also daily and hourly activities that give you food and kinz cash. Just kinda piddle through there. There is so much to do. You won't get bored. Trust me, you'll be buying your own pets before long. We started out with a little white poodle. Now we have 52 pets, and tons of the other misc stuff like charms and trading cards. My little boy likes the plush pets more than the virtual activities. He has all of his pets at the foot of his bed.

To get to the daily/hourly activities go to the 'things to do' tab at the bottom. When it pops up you will see 'Today's Activities' on the left side. Once you go there you will see the tabs for hourly and daily activities.

The themes are all in the w-shop. Again, go to the 'Things to Do' tab. You will see 'W-Shop on the right side kinda towards the bottom. That is the 'store'. You can browse through there. It has things organized by theme and by specific items.

I don't know about a help site as far as a how to. We will be glad to help you out all we can here.

Pinkhorse, I'm going to bed. If you have anymore questions just post them or make a list. I'll be back on here in the morning and so will the rest of our Webkinz nutz. We'll help you out. In the meantime, just navigate around the site and play around. You can't mess anything up. Remember to feed your pet. Just drag food from your dock over to the picture at the left to feed. When you are done playing put your pet in the bed. It helps keep it from getting sick. They won't die like digi pets (the little things on the keychains). I'm sure your daughter will appreciate you making money for her and it will be something fun the 2 of you can do together.

To put it in the bed go to it's bed room and just click on the bed. It will walk over and curl up to go to sleep. They say it is best to do it. To be honest, I usually don't. We have 52 pets and over 60 rooms. When we play we change pets a lot. It's hard to keep track of where they are in the house to go back and find them to put them to bed. So, it's fine if you don't.

If you haven't gone to 'my room' and played with the pet then you don't need to put the pet to bed. To put the pet to bed when you are in the rooms just point the curser at a bed and click. It will climb in, curl up and start Zzzzzzzzz-ing.

I had thought the bats were like the animal shaped licorice bats we got at Halloween. I didn't realize they were baseball type bats. Cool. I love new stuff.

Yes, you need a pet to create an account. I really don't know why we tend to save special foods. I save them mostly so I have fun stuff to send as gifts. New webkinz owners don't always have the opportunities to get the old stuff.

I save them because they are special, limited stuff that you can't just go into the w-shop and buy. A year or two from now they would probably be pretty rare.

You should buy yourself a pet! grin Your own pet! grin I started with one bear....now I'm right around 30 pets. egad

Guess what. Ally's account finally is working. Yippee. I was able to purchase a few rooms just now and NAME THEM. I emailed them I don't know how many times and kept receiving form responses - "thank you for you email...." The last email I sent I asked to please be given a phone number so I could talk with a person and like a miracle it's fixed. Ally's in the process now of decorating.
