I grew some rugosa roses from seeds last year and noticed that a few have been eaten, possibly by rabbits as I have not seen deer in our neighborhod. Why anyone would eat those prickly things I'll never know! Do You think they will come back? They are rooted well (I think) but the top foliage is gone. Some of the others made it through the winter and are budding and growing leaves. Also, can I expect these to produce flowers this year? They are still small but have come a long way from this time last year when I started growing them!

generally, if the roots are ok, they will come back.
