As she starts feeling better she's going to be missing her laptop.....or does she have it there with her? I'm not sure how functional she is, but I was thinking that surely a hospital has wi-fi......Is she awake a lot in the day now or is she drugged up good and sleeping a lot still?
I thought for sure they would have it. So I guess no laptop then. She'll probably be getting bored towards the end of her stay then. TV can only entertain a person so much.
The main thing is Cindy is improving a little each day. The bills are secondary and they'll be a pain all their own,, but I'm glad to hear Cindy is feeling a little better,, and Like Jiffy said,, She is going to have to take it easy and let her body heal and don't force anything,,, we all know just because we feel good, doesn't mean we are healed completely!
everthing you have said is soo true. I too am glad Cindy is feeling a bit better---I am hoping & praying for the day to come when all of this time is just a memory.

loz, i asked bill about the wi-fi, he said they do NOT
I am thinking that they may have it (wouldn't the drs need it?) and just tell the patients they do not---If patients took thier laptops to the hosptial they may wake up one morning and find they were gone--and then the hospitals would be in trouble.
so even if they were wired, I imagine such expensive equiptment would not be allowed.---Just my notion---

Glad to hear she got to eat...........I know how miserable that is, I got sick after my surgery and had to go almost 4 days in the hospital without even so much as ice chips! It was awful, when I got home the mashed potatoes never tasted so good!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope she is not in tooooo much pain being off the magic button! For the price of the room they charge, they should at least let you take it home for awhile!
Please Bill, give her lots of hugs for me! AND......let us hear that you have not worried yourself to death!
i've seen it both ways carol jean. but, i'm going to say "bill, give our girl a kiss (hugs might hurt right now) and we'll be checking in on her again tomorrow!
Carol - I am thinking that it's not a good idea to have wi-fi in the hospitals for the same reason that using cell phones can interfere with equipment that is used to save lives there? And also the fact that hospitals do not want to be responsible for patients having such expensive personal items there.
I'm sending a good morning get well wish to Cindy -

Lynne: I think you are right about teh wi-fi interfering with hospital equiptment. I had not thought of that--I should have--But I did mention the second part.
I am sending Cindy my Good Morning wishes as well. and still praying that Cindy gets better with every day and that she gets to go home very soon.

Rachel/Bill--do either of you know how much longer she'll be in there for?
One mean old doctor started an evil rumor that she could possibly be coming home as soon as tomorrow or Wednesday, but she is the same icky lady that said it could be up to nine months until Cindy is back to her troublemaking self again... I don't believe either one of her stories
I do think she will be home this week tho... Housekeeper is coming today so Cindy doesn't have any excuse for not just vegging out for a couple weeks!
Oh, I hope she comes home soon! Well when she's medically ready to come home, but I do hope that's soon. Then she can count down the days until Rachel and Brennan get there.
I'm going to try to talk to her doctor today. Hopefully they'll have some good news. I think it would help her a lot if she knew for sure what day she was coming home.
Bill, you are precious. You have made sure everything is taken care of for her. I don't think she could be in better hands. For me that is saying a lot. Before, I always had to be the one taking care of her because I didn't feel like anyone else would concern themselves with every detail to make her better and comfortable. I know with you she won't want or need for anything. Now I just worry about who will take care of you. I'll give you a break in a few weeks. I can't cook very well, but I'll darn sure give your house a good cleaning!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Bill - I'm so glad you are having a housekeeper in today - there's nothing like a fresh smelling comfy home to come back to after being in the hospital. And yep... tie Cindy down if you have to - no getting up before it's time this time around!

She's still kinda loopy on the meds. Everyday now she asks me, "When did you say you were coming?"

NO! No no no no no noooooooooooooooooooo... NO! House keeper must be on daylight savings time already, and I need more time! Tomorrow is OK... today is a NO! (but if she gets to come home today there will be a lot of happy critters, including me)
That's not sweet! I'm not sweet! I'm a mean, grouchy old fart, and don't you ever forget it!
Now Bill, we know better than that---I suppose we could not mention it, though if that would help.
and I agree if they keep her a bit longer that might be best---just because if she is there she cannot "over do". Otherwise home would be some great medicine.

OMG - I just came across this thread and read it from beginning to end. I just wanted to cry. I'm so glad Cindy got thru surgery alright, is recooperating and on the road to recovery. Lots of love, kisses and plenty of prayers are going out your way Bill. :ding: Please tell Cindy my thoughts and prayers go out to her. I just know she will get better and soon as she has wonderful you, Bill, who cherishs, loves, comforts and takes good care of. Love you two, you are a match made from heaven :ding: and from Cedar Hill! :ding:
Just a comment about wi-fi in hospitals. My daughter was just in the hospital for 3 weeks and she could access the internet on her laptop. The hospital had a special signal for "guests" so there would be no interence with any hospital computers or equipment. I guess it's a service that some hospitals supply and others don't.
