I yearn for a simpler time like back then,when you could visit the neighbors, have some lemonade,and relax.Nowadays the neighbors aren't friendly , there are gangs everywhere,& people cant go outside at night or they'll get robbed or shot. And also people try to break into houses to steal anything -T.V.s, garden tools, even plants!!!That angers me!

I'm lucky here I think, it's still like that.....I live in a very rural small town of 3,000 people and it's pretty quiet...not much crime...no shootings ever at all....there were a few robberies last year but basically this is still a really safe, friends with your neighbors, kind of place.

My neighbor to the left of me is an older woman that gardens and we meet up almost everyday when it's nice at the fence.....have a chat, she gives my niece candy and icecreams...we swap plants....complain about the weather, town mayor, etc....

I hear you!! Ive been living here for 13 years now, and Ive watched as all the farmland is being swallowed up by industrial parks and McMansion developments. It makes me so sad!!

I grew up in a city so when I came here it really felt like the country. It's just all being taken away.

So Im just obsessed with hex signs and barns and thinking about when we used to live closer to the land.
