It snows, then ice pellets then freezing rain then changes and starts all over again. The wind is so bad that I can't see a thing outside, we are in the middle of a blizzard.

Kids are on March break here all week.

Hey everybody. I've been super busy today getting the basement cleaned and organized and getting a bunch of boxes from the garage into the basement to store. I just had the something amazing happen and wanted to drop in to tell the story....

When I was 7 years old I had a seizure. When I got out of the hospital Mommy gave me a porcelain figurine of a little girl holding a teddy bear that plays music. I've kept it and it's been the very most prized possession I have. It means more to me than anyone could imagine. 4 years ago, I lost it. We had moved so many times I was sure I would never find it. I've grieved the loss of it and literally lost sleep thinking of what could have possibly happened to it. Today as I was moving boxes from the garage to the basement I was stacking a small box that had a wreath Mommy had made from roses I received when I had Brennan. I thought that was the only thing in that box. As I was lifting it up to stack it, I heard a slight chiming noise. I knew with that split second of noise exactly what it was! I ripped that box open and there was my little girl!! I could not believe it was there. I would have never found it had it not made that slight noise. It would have stayed there stacked up with 50 other boxes and probably never been found. Such a tiny thing, but it means the absolute world to me.

I took it as a sign. I know that may sound foolish to some people, but I believe that. That thing has been in that box for 4 years. It was awfully strange that just now it made that noise for me to find it. It was just like she was yelling, 'I'm in here!" I'm so happy. She's sitting on my table right now. I won't lose her again.

Oh, how wonderful Rachel.

Well, I'm in for a few while trying to fix this piece of cr@p.

The storm outside is bad, they announced for emergency vehicles only allowed on the roads.

I can't wait to tell Mommy that I found it. I'm always afraid to call and wake her up. I guess I'll call her in a few minutes before Brennan goes to bed so he can talk to her.

I am always afraid to call someone who is sick for the same reason. When I am sick I just want to crawl into a hole until it goes away. I don't want to talk to anyone. Of course, I don't much care for chatting on the phone even when I'm well.

I'm so glad you found that rachel! Your mom will be soo happy! and what a wonderful thing you will be able to give to your daughter when she gets older....

In other news i finaly got my cuttings for the confederate rose bush i went to the golf course myself and got them lol my gramma has enough on her mind with the tournament at the course she is playing tomorrow... then i also got some box wood cuttings... Then tommorrow before i go home im going to take some cutting for her azalias, hibiscus, going to dig up some smooth sumac suckers and plant them, then some sugarbush, and snow on the mountain... also i might take a few cutting from her bouginvalia and thats about it... The next time ill be over ill get some cuttings from her citrus trees... then also her neighbor has a tree that has the prettist flowers on them they seem like a lilly... and ill see if hell give me a cutting :)
I lately havent been feeling so well ive been so tired last night i went to bed at 7:00pm and woke up at like 7 maybe 8 this morning and ive been tired all day and the last week or so ive been getting pain in the back of my head its like alot of pressure and it hurts badly... i think it might be sinus problems... or idk... ill tell ym mom about it when i get home see what she thinks....

rachel tell your mom that shes going to have to get back on here imma need someone to keep me in check, lol...

'morning!

I'm having a Challah roll with Brummel and Brown butter spread - that is an egg based roll - yummy!

Soooooooo - I've been talking about how I REALLY REALLY dislike Spencer's gift stores because they have such lewd stuff for sale, to some friends this week. And... Coincidentally, Good Morning America is having a segment on tv in a few minutes about just that and how some mothers brought it to public attention, because their kids were able to buy X-rated stuff there!!! I really think it's disgusting and am soooooooo glad someone has brought it out so they do something about it!

yea i think the store is disguting too! I think they shouldnt be able to promote x and other stuff to children... Our mall has one I think its wrong! they should not be able to show that stuff and they especially shouldnt have a store like that in a mall... But i guess they get away with it because something about it is considered a joke shop kinda... but its disguisting!

Never heard of Spenser's. We have X-rated shops here but they are isted as such and for adults only.

Spencer's is not an X-rated store---they are a shop that carries all kinds of odds & ends--BUT they are allowed to also carry 'off colored' items as well--not sure how that happened.--after all, these stores are usually in malls---

Spencer's began as a mail order for gadgets and dodads type thing. With joke gifts too. They grew a bit in all departments. The growth in the joke gifts department is very racy but not nearly as x rated as a real adult store.

Hi all,
Slept in today - felt good to do but now I have to call my Mom's rehab place and get them to reschedule the next family meeting- Carrie and I will try and get over there and see her too today- still have missing clothes for her- pain in the **** , we marked them and have a sign for them to put her laundry in her hamper we will do it and they either stick their sheets in it and take her clothes to their laundry , then they get lost ... very frustrating- I can't keep buying her more clothes just cause they can't read or do their jobs properly.
I called the hospital to try and reach Merme- but she was released they said- so she is either home-(left a message on her machine just in case) or in a rehab place to get stronger---- will try her friend in Maine too - will send an email to her today---
off to get on the phone again... such fun!

I'm cleaning again today. I let the house go yesterday so I could get some of my storage stuff taken care of. I'll tell you, this house gets out of hand quick. We are just some messy people I guess. So, I'll be checking in on breaks.
