Here are some pictures of my seedling cart my hubby set up for me. I tried to take some pictures while the lights were on, but they didn't turn out right, too dark.

Here is a close-up of the plants in a flat.

I have 3 kinds of peppers in the left one and tomatoes and giant marigolds in the right one.

Rosepetal, how did you get ahold of a baker's rack?? I absolutely LOOOOVVVEEE your setup. Your plants look fantastic--I'm so envious! Is that a shower curtain on the right hand side? Do you use it too increase the humidity? Oh, geez, that just looks so great. Now to go chant, I don't need it, I don't need it, while I fix dinner. lol

We found this rack at Costco here in Canada last year and thought it was the ideal thing for what I wanted to do. It's working out great, and I have the option of adding more lights to the front of each one there if I need to. He wired all the lights into one outlet and then put on a cheap little timer so I could set the lights on and off at the right times. I have this cart standing in my basement and I kept forgetting to put the lights on and off this works great now.

Here is what it looks like with the lights on.

Landofoz,

That plastic thing is just a plastic sheet to keep the cold draft from hitting the plants from the door going outside around the corner.

They lights are the regular florescent fixtures with growing bulbs inside.

Really? Those are at Sams? I've worked retail for the past 8 years and I've always wanted one of those baker's racks (that's what retail calls them). They are so handy-dandy for so many things! Thanks!

Do you happen to know how much they want for them? The man was just talking about wanting to go to Sam's. (it's an hour drive away, so it's something we have to "plan" for)

i think they are a little pricy (i thought they were around $60) but not really when you consider the quality. i'm just broke right now, so if it is more than $5, it's pricy to me!
