My daughters girl friend stayed with us for a few weeks and gave me this plant just before she left. Can anyone tell me what they are. There's three of them there.
Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
The spiked one cannot be a dracaena, I looked up the name for that plant and it does not match my plant. I tried to get a different picture but it didn't work.
The yellow flowered one is a kalanchoe, thanks for the name.
Still can't figure out what the red veined one is?

Yes the tall one is a Dracaena it's exact name is Dracaena marginata. They grow forever mine is 9yrs old and well over 6ft.The yellow one is a Kalanchoe. And your purple one looks like a nerve plant but the only time I see any with color are the ones I color with food coloring in the water.
Zuzu...thanks for those great links, now I can see that Tonya and Dodge were right as well. I don't have any of these plants so I'm tickled pink with this set.
What do you say, should I leave them together for now or do they need to be separated, they do look well together?

I think that those will be fine together for a while, they are a very attractive combination. You'll know you need to transplant when it becomes difficult to keep them watered properly. But you could still keep them together and just move them into a larger pot.

The bloodleaf is a stunner. Being a fan of most purple plants - purple basils, burgandy oxalis are favorites - I will scout this one out. Will look great with my peach and burgandy color scheme patio planter. Thanks for sharing.
