I have this in every flower bed, every pot, every natural area, everywhere EVERY year. I hate it.
It takes forever to get rid of it and it's EVERY year.

Definitely Henbit (Lamium), and it's very invasive. I have it also and if I don't pull it out as soon as I see it, it spreads everywhere. There are some perennial lamiums that are better behaved, but can still spread by seed.

it IS purple deadnettle and yes, the flowers are pretty (well, they're purple, so of course they're pretty!!) and yes, it IS quite nasty stuff that takes over quickly and is very hard to get rid of.

this and creeping charlie are the only things with purple flowers i wish i'd never seen!!

The old folks around here call that heal's all. My Grandma rose used to brew a tea from it to cure everything from a cough to "the dysentary" as she called it. I think its a sweet little flower. It fills my ditchline every year and I just love it (it gives me an excuse to hold off on weedeating until it dies back).

It's certainly colorful and interesting. I like some of the 'weeds' that come up in my flower beds. If they are not too invasive and aren't choking out any of my other plants, I leave them be.

That looks like the dead nettle I always confuse with Catnip (I don't know why I do I just do) So I think I'm going to agree with the others, Dead nettle

Heal all or self heal does look similar but is a different thing, prunella vulgaris (or common prunella)It is very useful and can cure just about anything from a fever to a strep throat. My mom makes tea with it when any of us get sick. Definitely a heal all!
