I live in the Los Angeles area and have a 4-trunk King Palm. Last Fall the wind blew hard enough to snap one of the new fronds which also killed the center area on the top of the crown where new fronds grow out of. The center dried up and what remains of the center area appears dead. Luckily this only happened to one trunk and not all 4.

Will this trunk ever grow again or am I out of luck. Is there anything I can do for this?

Sorry, I don't know all the correct terminology.

Thanks in advance.

When the crown breaks on a palm, it dies. When they are moving/transplanting the palms they tie the loose leaves up over to protect the crown. I'm afraid you have lost that part of your palm. I would cut it away so it won't get some disease that may spread to the others.
