hi
not sure if my problem is unique, but i have not come across anyone else asking about this. we live in eastern ontario and each fall we cut back and bring inside 3 hibiscus trees in very large pots. the plants usually go dormant, lose some leaves and then make a nice come back (in the comeback stage right now). my big problem is getting them ready for reintroduction to the outdoors come
spring. even if they are in the shade to begin, they suffer severe leaf burn. a couple of times i've botched it to the point where they had all their leaves turn into onion skin. the leaves grow back, but so much time has been lost, you might not see a bloom. i would suspect the stress on the plants can not be healthy either. is there a specific way to reintroduce plants like these into the outdoors. any tips etc would be appreciated,as the time to go outdoors again is soon approaching. thanks !
