Here is my latest submission to I Can Has Cheezburger, the site where I get most of my great pictures. I took the photograph myself this afternoon, uploaded it to the site, thought up the caption and captioned it myself, and submitted the photo to be voted on. If it gets enough votes, it will be featured on the main page. I LOVE squirrels almost as much as I love birds.

I didn't have any peanuts today, just peppermints so I started throwing them to the squirrels. They LOVED them! They would eat one and then come back and take another one from my hand and go bury it. I started out with a pocketful of peppermints and ended up empty pocketed in about 10 minutes. I have to go back Wednesday, so I will take a bag of peanuts with me.

A few are DOUBLE length with an accordion like joint connecting the two halves. Anyway, Here's yesterday's Eastern Gray Squirrels.

You have the SAME squirrels in the U.K. now, Glenda. They were imported from the U.S. about the same time that a New York millionaire imported Starlings, House Sparrows, and Pigeons to the U.S. from the U.K. They are called Eastern Gray Squirrels, and they have a fondness for peanuts, and apparently peppermint candy. Look for them in your city and national parks and Woodlands.
