Wow! I just checked to see who was online and noticed that there were 69 search spiders! That's the most I've ever seen.

A search spider gathers data from all of our posts for the different search engines.....

For example talking about a certain topics puts those topics into google so when people search it can bring them here. I've noticed a lot of anonymous people here reading Webkinz topics...

I don't like spiders either....SCARY....freak me the heck out they do.

It would be much nicer if they were called ladybugs or butterflies.

In the garden, spiders are much more beneficial than butterflies. But not as pleasant to have land on you.

At 7 am this morning there were 130 Search Spiders.

why spiders, couldn't they call it something else, I don't like spiders

Ah, I knew Bill would have a good explanation.

There were a LOT on last night too.....I've never noticed so many on here....

But that's good...the more pages that are went over with the search spiders, brings more people here to our forum when they search things.

I still don't like spiders. We have the brown recluse here, I got bit last summer by one, the medication the put you on, you have to stay indoors out of the sun boohoo

I have always wondered too why the call them spiders but that makes sense Bill!! Thanks for the explanation!
