Well I was in the mall today with mom and we were in a store we have here called Bon-Ton. It's a huge, nice department store....the kind with the makeup counter and perfume sprayers....They had tons of racks of stuff for 80 percent off.....Then we got near the shoes and they had rows of them for 80 percent off too.
I got these boots today(aren't you proud of me Tam, more shoes), they were regularly $69.99, and with 80 percent off they were $14 whole bucks. And they are nice, soft leather....buttery soft and so somfy.
Me and mom both bought this froggy welcome stake thingy. It was only $2.99. I couldn't believe that because it's quite tall.
Also got this for FIFTY NINE cents. It has a pot, soil, and bulbs.....mom got one too.
Went into Fashion Bug with a $10 off $10 or more coupon, and I got a pair of jean shorts for the summer....they were normally $26.99 with a nice belt.....they were 30 percent off already, and then with my coupon I got them for $9.
Oh I love a good shopping day!
I tried on lots of those 80 percent off shoes today....it was so crowded though I couldn't get to a lot of them, that was my deal of the month, those boots. They are such good quality.
OMG Loz when I saw you thread title. I said out loud,, I bet she got shoes,, and what was the first picture???? Shoes,,,,,
You should've heard me in the store....I was gushing to everyone around me that the shoe sale made my month. I would've got more shoes if I could've found more that I really liked.
Shirley, I WISH I could get paid to shop....I've seriously thought about doing the whole "store on ebay" thing....buying stuff and reselling it---but I think it would be more work than I'd expect.
Thanks Jess. And guess what? Remember on the phone how I told you dad has to go back? Well 10 days from now me and mom will have 3 more hours of shopping again. Maybe there will be more shoes to look at?
I also got a bag of Hershey kisses filled with Vanilla Cream.....I've been working my way thru them today.
I just know how to really look hard for those bargains....I examine stuff a lot....I am quick about it, and I always go to the clearance first. As I was walking thru the Bon-Ton with mom(it's a huge store in the mall), I kept telling her to look for the big yellow 80 percent off signs.... She's becoming a better bargain shopper now.
When I go into most stores, like at the outlets, I always head for the back first....where they hide the clearance....
Speaking of the outlets....not long now. Sometime between the 7th and 11th of April me and mom take a lot of money and go shop all day until we drop. She takes her best friend, and my best friend meets us there. It's an annual thing now---think we are on our 6th year of it.
I guess you will be doing lots of shopping in the next couple of weeks Loz! First you will shop during your dad's 3 hour appt and then to the outlets!! Very exciting!!
Should we start guessing how many shoes Loz will buy during those shopping trips??
Hopefully no more shoes for a while, I have them coming out of my.....well, you get the idea.
I wore my new boots today---they match my new brown jacket exactly. And they are SOOOOOOOO comfy! They are Aerosole brand and I just can't believe the comfort with them. Very impressed.
The outlets are so close Tam....I can't wait!!! I need to start wrapping up my change soon, I think I saved $100 in change just since Christmas.
I bet you won't be able to pass up a pair of shoes or flip flops when you are out shopping Loz! I know I can't!!
$100 in change since Christmas is great! We have lots of change at our house too. James likes to save it until we have lots...then we take it in and it is $1000. It is nice then but I would like to use it here and there in between times.
I have a little digital change counter jar and it says I have about $95 but it's not been counting dimes for a good while, I think I need to switch batteries in it. That change adds up surprisingly fast....be quicker though if I worked too. $1000 is GREAT!!!! I wish I had the patience to save that long......It really helps me buy Christmas presents thru the year though.
And you're right----if I happen across a great shoe bargain there's no way I'll be able to pass it up.
Last black friday I got a new all in one printer for something like $32. It was cheaper than buying ink for my outdated all in one. Plus it has a digital screen, something my other didn't have. It prints pretty good for being a cheap printer.....I don't do too much anyway.
Ink is way TOO expensive.
Speaking of change, I might drag mine down here and roll it all up, I'm one of those strange people that enjoy doing that.
Well, I went shopping with mom today while we waited on Dad to finish his 3 hour, 45 minute stress test......Here were my favorite deals!
I saw this picture and it's so my style....I'm very floral country....and it was $3!!!! And it's really long and made of wood.
A Maryland Squishy pillow for my friend for Christmas, a Nine West Scarf for my sister, and a Pierre Cardin hat and glove set for my nephew.....prices respectively after a 75 percent reduction----$2.75(was $12.99 originally), $2.48($30 originally), and the hat and gloves were $2(normally $25). Those 3 things had been reduced already off the original prices, that's how I got such a good 75 percent off price.
A roll top bread box! I've always wanted one of them and it was normally $19.99 and was on sale for $7.99!
I got this AWESOME coat for my nephew....I mean it's so nice....FR Tripler, Signature Gold Brand. Originally $150, marked down to $49.99, marked down to $40, then 75% off.....so I got it for TEN bucks. And it's reversible and just his style......SCORE....
I was happiest with that coat because last Christmas I spent $10 easy on just a shirt for my nephew.....he always asks for clothes so I buy him tons of them.
Value City and Gabriel Brothers is where we shopped yesterday.
Mom was telling Lynne how she got chair covers for $1.50 each the day we went out shopping....well they were normally $15 each, reduced to $10, reduced to $1.50.
And they are really nice, heck you couldn't buy the material for that much.
Glad you like them, the table will go a lot bigger if i wanted it too, but seeing that their is just me and Mo most off the timeI keep it smaller. The chair in the background and coffee table I'am saving for my Grandson, who is getting an appartment soon,so their is a lot off clutter right now.
