This is the first thread I've seen in another language!

Werden wir es behalten, ins Deutsche hineingehend? (Shall we keep it going in German?)

Had me fooled. I knew what it meant, but My German is fairly rusty after 10 years of disuse. My German friends in Germany (who are FLUENT in English) are always telling me, "Man, your German STINKS!"

I heard about a dozen finches today, Dodge. And got some really good shots of a Blue Jay, too.

The bird you shot today IS a Robin. You just caught it from an odd angle. The gray back feathers completely obscure the red breast and white belly. Long thin slightly curved yellow bill, dark head, broken white eye ring......ROBIN!

Okay...I thought I was losing my mind when I opened my emails to see a thread in german from here! LOL I don't know any german myself, but I was getting the gist of the conversation. rot vogel=red bird? Oh, well...not important! hehe

BTW, Thorn...thanks for all the info on the camera issue. I saved it so that I have something to refer to when I finally talk hubby into getting me one!

Neatest thing happened yesterday. Was out in the yard doing some yard work and stopped to look towards my feeder to see if it needed filled. It was about 4 feet away. There sitting on a branch right above it was a Titmouse, pounding away at a sunflower seed. On a branch right above that was another one just singing away. That one flew down to the feeder on the far side and kept peeking around the end to watch me. I know I stood there for 15 minutes watching those two birds go back and forth. just 4 feet from me! Boy! I REALLY want that camera!

I love to hear the titmouse sing. Maybe they were courting.
