I was surprised too when I saw "another procedure", but all is apparently going smoothly.............I too have never stopped praying---won't until she is blowing something up or catching something on fire..........then I guess I will still be praying but for a different reason! <----that is a smiley we have not had in this thread recently!
You would have cracked up at her earlier. She was still in the hall after the first 'procedure' waiting on the second one. A guy from transport came looking for her. He asked her what her last name was to make sure he had the right patient. She looked up at him and said, 'morphine'. Cindy Morphine!

I can just hear and picture her doing that....that's our Cindy.
i am hoping Cindy had a more comfortable night with all that bloat out of her tummy, that hurts! Rachel, how's Brennan holding up? He's such a good kid and had so much drama for a person his age, can't help but worry about the little guy. give him a little extra hug for me. he doesn't know me, but i feel like i know him because of his Cindy granny, and she adores him.
Was this a sudden thing, or was it expected all along?
Last night's catscan showed fluid in her abdominal cavity. They used a lonnnng needle and drew out all the fluid.... She is healing well internally, otherwise.
I had a drain with the second surgery----but none with the first & third---
Glad to hear that Cindy is doing so well. I will continue to pray.

So glad to read Cindy did fine with her procedure last night. And yes, that is too funny what Cindy said to the transport guy. Sounds like she is coming around just great and back to her old self. Still praying for Cindy. Hope she can come home real soon.
Still praying for Cindy to keep doing well- love the cindymorphine story- I remember that was good stuff when I was in the hospital- as for long needles to drain- doesn't sound fun but if it helped her was a goood thing... Nana

Brennan has blown my mind. Of course I always knew he was a very good kid. But with the circumstances he has went above and beyond. He has kept himself content with very little to do and is always so well behaved and strong. He has really shown what a little man he is. I'm so proud.
Yes, she does adore him. She has already started to get upset about us leaving today. I'm trying my best just to not think about it yet. Not until I have to. It's going to be so hard. I'm so grateful she is on the road to recovery. That makes it a little easier. But still, it's going to be very difficult.

is it even remotely possible to send Jeremy home with Brennan and you stay say 1 more week ??? or could all of you stay 1 more week?// or at least until she gets to go back to cedar Hill??/
but hey, if not, at least you can 'call' her now that she is awake, huh????

Jeremy left Saturday. He had to get back already. I wish there was something I could do to manage to stay longer. I'm very grateful I was able to get here. I'll be back to see her as soon as I can. She was very dissapointed that she wasn't able to be with Brennan when he explored Cedar Hill. I'll have to bring him back for that.

Ohhhhhhh Rachel - I just know how very hard it is going to be for all of you when the time comes to leave. How much longer will you be there?
The bright side is that now that you have been there, you know it won't be long til you go back again, right?
Brennan is an inspiration to all children - especially those with a relative who is going through a difficult time. Please tell him he's an A+++ in my book!
can't you contact the school & have them send school work via the internet for 1 more week?// I understand that he cannot get behind, but--if that could be taken care of---why not do it? it would surely save plane fair money on top of all the other benefits

It would cost another $2000 to change our flights again, plus hotel costs. We can't afford to make any other changes. I wish we could. I would have to leave her sometime. It's not going to be any easier a week from now than it is today. Our flight goes out tonight at 11:23 pacific time.
I'm heading back in her room to see if she's awake.

Oh Rachel - I didn't realize you were leaving today - I thought it was Friday for some reason. I hope you get some good, quality time in with your mom before you need to go tonight - lots of laughs and hugs and kisses and positive thoughts!
Have a safe flight home Rachel, try to stay positive. Bill seems to be a kind and caring man. I feel sure that he will take excellent care of your mum.

Rachel today will be hard leaving your Mommy But know our prayers will continue as you fly home tonight and will continue to pray for a long time to come! Have a safe flight home Cindy's Angels will remain by her side, one of Angel's name is Bill . He will see to it Cindy is well taken care of right . Tell Brennan for all the school work he'll do thru all the years of his education he'll never learn in a book or out class what he has learn on this trip out to Washington: that family and friends pull together when someone needs them, to have Faith in God in knowing his Grace will see us through, and bravery isn't always about slaying dragons, and going to war, it's about being strong on the inside, and placing a smile on your face in the toughest of times. And doing simple little things , like helping out in Cindy Granny's bird garden, will mean soooo much to her, to know he played a part in it, and learning compassion and patients will bring good things to your heart. and that heros come in all forms and sizes. Learning that and experiencing that at a young age will be with him forever so he already has a jump start on all his buddies at school! Tell him there are Adults that haven't even learned that yet, and I'm proud of him too for being a brave little hero , that loves his Mommy and Cindy Granny Good.

I'm just so glad that you found a way out there Rachel .....like you said, leaving tonight or leaving a week from now will be hard either way. Enjoy the time you have left today and "love up" on Cindy......
I know you'll be back out there again one day soon.
I see Cindy's name on the side bar!
Oh and Brennan has been a little trooper for sure.....he deserves a new Webkinz or two.
Bill will take such good care of your mommy, you'll have nothing to worry about.
