A friend at work has a 2 year old son and a baby. They live in the country. She's working on potty training the 2 year old. He's been doing great with the urine and loves to go outside. He's been doing pretty good with the #2 in the potty but for some reason on Monday he started pooping in his pull ups again. She took away one of his tractors telling him "do not poo in your pants." Last night she was bathing the baby and dad was outside talking on his cell phone. Tyler (the 2 year old) came up to her and said he needed to use the potty. She told him to use the potty (since she was in the bathroom) but he said he wanted to go outside. So she told him to run outside with his dad. In a few minutes he came back in naked from the waste down with poop on his bottom. He was so excited and said "I didn't poo in my pants." When she asked him what he did he told her he had pooed in the yard. Dad, with his ear to the phone hadn't even noticed what he was doing. If Tyler will listen and follow his moms directions as well when he's a teenage she'll be in business.

haha haha haha OMG, that's sooo funny!

I potty trained my son outside for pee too, boys LOVE that. It always makes me a little jealous of boys/men, that they can so easily.

Only it wasn't funny when he got to be in kindergarten and first grade as soon as he got off the bus he'd pull it out and start peeing in the driveway with all the cars going by and the bus pulling away. Jeesh

I cannot get my son to go outside for anything. I know what you mean by being jealous, Mel.
Cute story, Sheri. I love two year olds. It is the very best age.

Not many snow banks around without a little bit of a drive. He doesn't much care for snow when we do go to play.

When Tristen was potty training we let him pee outside too. Well one day he pulled down his pants and pooed in the backyard too. I laughed but not where he could see me because I didn't want him to continue to do that but it was so funny!!!

He actually went right outside their back door on the porch. She was furious with her husband and made him clean it up. She didn't give him his tractor back though. We all thought she should have because he didn't go in his pants.
