Traveling Willy has arrived back in the Blue Grass state.
Maybe I shouldn't say this but... he told me that being back in Kentucky is like being home again.
Here is how he arrived. Give me a few minutes to get more pictures posted.

Of course, one of his first questions was about his beloved Cindy so I found her post today so he could read it.

After making sure Cindy is better he relaxed and began to tell me some stories!!! I had to swear to secrecy tho because there were some things he said that should never be written down.
First he told me about all the places he had been.
Then he asked me to gather all my gnome friends so he could tell them also. He aplogized for leaving the pen out. He had used it to record his arrival in his passport.

I asked T Willy to show me all of his souveniers but he didn't have any .
He said he used to have some but Carol sent them on to Cindy to help save postage on my box. I told him not to worry, I will make sure he gets more to keep him company as he travels.

Ohhhhhhh Whewwwwwwwww I thought they had gotten lost I didn't know they had already been taken from him and sent off early.

Ohhhhhhh Good,, Now he won't be so lonely traveling hundreds of miles .. It's good to travel with at least a souvenir or two,, it will keep him busy and time will go faster! Good idea Glenda!!

I know some of you have been worried that T Willy gets cold while traveling. I made him a quilt to keep him warm.
He snuggled into it right away and, in fact, is now sound asleep.

that's awesome! i didn't put his souviners in with him because he was afraid he'd crush the cotton boll. so he'll have a package of stuff when he gets back to washington.

yes There is a different print on the back. It's all one piece on the back so I didn't take a picture.

Wow--now T-Willy will have souveniers to keep him busy in his travels AND he will have souveniers to look at when he gets home. Looking at them will be like looking at new gifts--he will not have seen them for so long.
about the 'blanket'--it is ever so nice---& it looks like it is snuggly warm.
and we can see the back side in the pictures where T Willy is all wrapped up in his quilt.

Thanks, Wendy---it was kinda early to send on the items, but I thought every little bit would help.--What with postage being the way it is these days.
I didn't stop to think of T Willy being cold or lonely. It was so nice of Glenda to think to make him the blanket---now he will be all snuggly for those times he has to "wait" out in the mailbox for his next host/hostess.
Not to mention is is beautifully made.

Your terrific.. twilly is snug as a bug in a rug. Your a very good quilter and also a serger operator.. i too have a serger and love it . Gives me ideas for for some more pot holders.
The quilt is made just like a regular size quilt. I just serged the sedge instead of sewing on a binding.
Thanks for all the compiments.
Today T Willy will get a ride on a John Deere tractor almost like Bill's. He is very excited about it! We just have to wait for my grandson to get here so he can give T Willy the ride.

Is he still riding the J Deere?? He's gonna get spoiled riding that! He may not want to go back in the box to go to his next destination

Ok , now that everyone has gone home I can post these pictures.
In the first one, Traveling Willy is laying down in the trailer because he was a little nervous about having a 3 year old drive him around. After all, TW is almost 200 years older than the boy!!
In the second picture, Traveling Willy was feeling much braver and asked to ride up front where he could see everything.
P.S. You may notice that my grandson has his boots on the wrong feet.

Traveling Willy loved riding the tractor so much he snuck back outside and tried to drive it himself!!!!!!!!!!
I had already told him that he was not tall enough but he just had to try anyway.
Anyway, alls well that ends well and luckily I caught him before he could try to get it started!

Those were Great Pictures Glenda!! Heck T willy could'nt see the steering wheel let alone OVER the steering wheel ~ Good thing you caught him ,. if he could have figured out how to start it no telling what may have happened!!!
I bet Fredrick felt like a BIG BOY driving a 202 yr old Willy around!
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
All that Frederick told T Willy was to hold on tight because he was going to drive fast. T W told him to go as fast as he could! He went 5 miles an hour according to the guage on the tractor.
After driving TW around Frederick tried to "play golf" with his Dad so TW had to come inside. No one wants to be outside with a 3 year old hitting a golf ball!
Last night Traveling Willy decided to spend the night with my daughter. She is taking a river boat ride on a paddle wheel boat today and he wanted to go along. We should have pictures late Tuesday.

That sounds like WIlly.......ole speedo. I wanna see what he does to make trouble on the boat ride today. Hope your adding this all to his journey. I mean he has a story to tell everywhere.
