Awwwwwwwwwwwww what a wonderful day He had,, and a splendid surprise to see his cousin,, sweet tears for sure! Did Fred say what mountains he was headed to?
Good Night T willy and friends,,
Thanks so much for the pictures Glenda. I'm glad you didn't blind fold me on my BD there!

Hmmm maybe I'll try that next time you're here on your birthday.

Great birthday party Glenda! TW is one very special gnome, and all his friends and relatives there were very sweet to do this for him. That cake looks so yummy too - I would have it for breakfast now if I had a piece!
You have a great imagination Glenda - just like your sister!
Oh - the boat ride looked like fun too - what a special place to take TW!
Awwww, now that was a heck of a birthday party, what more could T. Willy have asked for? He had cake, family, and friends!!!! Even his very own birthday card.
You have a great imagination Glenda - just like your sister!
I think you have that backwards. She gets her great imagination after me. After all I am the older wiser sister.

No, we're not twins. I'm almost 4 years older than she is.

I'll put on a few pictures and you figure out where we went. If you have heard of Kentucky you probably have heard of this place.
The ladies here can be wild and crazy once a year!
This is for a yearling not a 203 year old!

This is for short people but I'm still not tall enough.
And they're off! Well at least on the video that was in front of me.
This is retired life here.

I just found out that Traveling Willy gets to stay here a few extra days. The person who gets the next visit from him won't be available until after the weekend.
I am so happy he gets to stay longer because we haven't gone to every place I want to take him to!

I guessed immediately.. Derby....We watch it on tv and love the hooping up. That is an awesome museum ..T willy must of been flabbergassed to see all that. Hey I liked it too. That is a wonderful tour.. I am enjoying it as much as T Willy is.
Now That's what I didn't get to see when I was there,, We have to go back there when I get back to KY,, What an exciting tour you've taken him on! I don't know where everyone is But they are missing these tours and pictures,, Now that you know you'll have him a few more days,, Where else are you planning on taking him,,,,
What did he think of the horse? ??

I hope T Willy loved the horse.. That is my favorite color.. He sure liked setting in the saddle...........Ready to ride. Do they have any mounted horses in the Museum?
We just love all the posies when they race. Hats too.
Sorry, there were no "real" horses in the museum. The only ones there were models. TW asked me if he could ride the horse but, of course, he was not allowed to. He loved it in the museum and told me he loves to go sightseeing.
I have a few more places I'd like to take him if I get a chance. Right now only I know what they are.
You'll have to wait and see.

Looks like T Willy is having a wonderful time! The Kentucky Derby Museum looks very cool! I never knew there was such a thing. Of course I know about the Derby itself but didn't know there was a museum. It could have something to do with never being to Kentucky. You are showing T Willy a good time Glenda!!
TW got some special souvenirs for Cindy and Bill. He wanted me to put them on here so everyone could see but I reminded him that sometimes Bill looks to see what his traveling friend is doing. The souvenirs are now safely packed away.
But Bill and Cindy are not the only ones he purchased gifts for. Who else?
Himself!
He said he had so much fun riding on Fredericks tractor he wanted one for himself! So, we went to the John Deere store and looked....and looked.....and looked. I finally convinced him not to get one big enough for him to ride in. After all, I would have to pay to ship it home for him!!!!! He decided to get one he could push around instead of ride in.
He had so much fun he wanted more toys to play with. I told him to look in Fredericks toy box to see what he could find.

He was ecstatic when he found the horse. Now he could ride like the jockies in the pictures he saw yesterday.
Hold on tight TW!!!
While he was riding the horse, Bob the Builder came by. He had heard that TW was in the neighborhood and offer to give Traveling Willy a ride on his truck.
Of courses, TW jumped right on that.

Sad Willy has to leave.......... Been good seeing him .. I loved the little jd ride..
Later off to mass to pray for Cindy, fire man , nana and all.
well, i don't think it is time yet. i know he wanted to visit some more places, and like jimmy, i've been reading but not posting. my fingers hurt so i'm not posting on every post i think i should. it just depends on how much they hurt when i start to type.
Sometimes I get busy on here doing other stuff and forget about posts I'd like to read.....but I think that this topic has faired pretty well as far as interest goes.....sometimes you just have to give people time to remember to read stuff.
BTW, I love all the pictures! He's been having a good time with you Glenda! He might not want to leave.
I think he is enjoying his time with you Glenda and all of us have enjoyed watching his adventures. I believe I have posted a number of times in this thread.

I'm always reading these and posting....when I'm home! I'm back home now though after a weeks absence. I love these picture of what all TWilly has done while visiting you!!!
yes Glenda---you have shown T Willy a wonderful time. We all enjoy the good times he has had, and the places he has seen.-- it is wonderful for him and his hostess/host. & this way, WE get to see some places we would not otherwise get to see. Living vicariously thru T-Willy is the next best thing to being there.
I truely hope you did not think we didn't appreciate what you had done for T Willy. You Glenda have shown him one great time--for sure !!! Traveling Willy will have such good memories from these visits to report to all his friends & to the Humans at Cedar Hill!!! he is indeed one lucky gnome.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
Today is Traveling Willy's last day of sightseeing in Kentucky. I should say in Indiana because that is where we went sightseeing! As some of you may remember, TW planned on going to a casino while visiting me. Today we tried. Here we are on the way!!
This is the hotel section of the casino.
This is the security guard who kindly but insistantly told us 1. no cameras allowed in the casino 2. Traveling Willy is too short to play anything so would not be allowed to enter. In case you are interested, we do know his name!!!!
