Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

The lily is L.martagon alba, and is about five feet tall. The tall bearded iris is Eleanor's Pride. Both are quite elegant standouts.

I would be soooo happy if anything I planted got over 5 feet tall, most of mine is like 3 feet, except the Hollyhocks they usually get 7-8 foot why

While my favorite is the Alba,
the pink form of Lilium martagon is also attractive.

Howdy folks! I'm new to the board, but I've been coming to this site for years. Great job webmasters! I've never been able to create much more than a very bland site with little content and no bells and whistles...Anywho here are some pics from my bedroom garden...For the record I am a guy.....I just happen to like green things...My bedroom gets zero direct sunlight so I've supplimented with 2 15w fluorecent plant lights....They seem to do all right with that. The two biggest plants (philodonodrons I think) were taken from cuttings about a year ago. The two smaller ones are recent purchases from Wal-Mart...Tell me what you think..

Hi Chris and welcome! Glad you finally introduced yourself since you've been with us for a few years.

Your philodendrums look very healthy - they don't require sunlight, so you've got them in a good spot.

Thanks Jiffymouse. That little sucker grew real slow for me at first, but then took off & is goin' good now. I've recently added some plant food spikes-- M.G. and they seem to love that stuff...Just a few seconds ago I posted a new pic of a Peperomia I bout today...I can't wait to see how my new ones grow! I sure hope them fluorecents I got are enough light for my new Croton....We'll see I guess..I've tried tomatoes also & they don't do so good with artifical light..AND they attract nasty little bugs!

Thanks for the warm welcome Plants!
