put the peas in boiling water for a minute to a minute and a half. remove and then put them in ice water for the same amount of time. drain and let dry and then put in plastic zip bags and freeze. make sure to get all the air out of the bag before sealing. they'll keep up to a year (make sure to mark the bag).
do batches if you have a lot to do...and let the water come to a rolling boil again before putting the next batch in.
regular peas can be shod or not. if you leave them in the shell, just take the strings of beforehand (that goes for the edible pod type too!)
