I'd like to grow almonds and hazelnuts at my new place. Do I need to trees of each type? And is there a particular species of each tree that would be best for me to get. And how long does it take for them to begin baring fruit?

Almond trees take several years to bear big crops. They grow best here in the Central Valley but can be grown elsewhere where it's not too cold.
