Hi, I am trying to figure out why, when ever I drain the water off of my indoor house plants it is yellowish brown. Can anyone please tell my why and what is the best solution.

Do you have a lot of perlite mixed into your soil? I've noticed that my plants with it have brownish drainwater, while plants without generally don't.

It doesn't seem to hurt the plants, but if it bothers you, you could always repot.

What goes into the top of the pot will eventually start breaking down and be leached through the bottom via water. The water can be colored by break down of soil components, fertilizer, or plant particles.

It's a natural process of container gardening. You won't need to make any correction. You may notice water run-off will be more clear when the plant is at rest.
