Okay, he took this plant from where he used to work as a tiny thing, he rooted it and it took but he has no clue what it is....he said at work that it was kept in a line and kept shorter like a hedge.

We were talking about how much it reminds us both of peach trees....but it's not a peach tree.

Any clues?

Yup, it's a Sandcherry. I have them here.

I must add it's a Purpleleaf Sandcherry. I keep my two pruned as a small hegde also, they have the prettiest little flowers don't they? It's an ornamental though, you can't eat the fruit.
