Hi everyone

I am completely new to gardening - well actually I haven't got a garden but I do have a wonderfully sunny terrace where I keep lots of potted plants; chrysanthemums, gazania, sun jewels - lots of flowers in other words, but I don't know the names of most of them. I also have some beautiful indoor plants, maranta and st. Joseph's coat

I live in Malta, which is a tiny island in the Mediterranean sea. We have hot weather here for most of the year, it's very humid and very windy too. Unfortunately we are very densely populated so there is not much nature around. I do my bit by trying to have as many plants as I can on my terrace, to add to the total greenery of the place.

I have a question about flies on my chrysenthemums which I have posted on the plant pests and problems forum. I look forward to many interesting discussions which I'm sure will go on increasing my excitement for this wonderful new hobby I've found!

Nice to meet you all

Colette

Ah, the island of Malta.....it must be BEAUTIFUL there....are the waters bright blue? *sighs*

It's great that you are gardening, even if it's only what you can fit out on your terrace. Container gardening can be very fullfilling. thumbup

I'm glad that you've taken such an interest in garden.... grin

Thanks for joining us and I'll see you out on the forum! wavy

Welcome, Colette.
AWWWW........Mediterranean! Not sure what zone that would make you. I live in 9 and the only place I'll ever move is up to higher numbers. I always say when I win the lottery I'm moving to the equator so my plants won't ever freeze.
