The only thing that has worked for me was a 'Hooting Owl'. You know the ones from Wal-mart that has a sensor that turns it on when something passes it. Sure kept the neighbours cats away
~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
You could try getting one of those motion sensor activated water sprinklers...Just don't forget to turn it off prior to going out to do some weeding....lol
Mom buys some kind of cat spray that she got at Walmart. I'm not sure if it's safe on plants but she sprays it all around the place outside....seems to work pretty good.....at least until it rains real heavy.
The cats hve pooped so much in most of my garden beds that I have to remove the soil and buy topsoil but I can't afford it; my only choice is to abandon my current garden site and find another spot in my yard but tey would probably poop all over it too.
A few years ago my neighbor got a cage from animal control, well she's elderly and doesn't drive so they came and picked the cats up from her that year. She trapped 10 cats I believe. All wild and feral.
The cats in my yard are my family's pets.My dad has been trying to find a reason to get animal control to come and take them away for a long time;he hates cats but he likes our dogs because they deter thieves.
have you thought about maybe making the cats their 'own' garden? till up a spot and keep it moist. I've heard of people planting cat nip...don't know if it has to be dried or something for cats to like it? also maybe a string through a tennis ball tied to a stake in the same spot? I'm not really a cat person, but I would think cats like to play in the good smelling soil just like we do. I keep a spot tilled and moist for my dogs and they just love it and they stay out of my beds and garden.
