You may have seen
these potato towers. They are way too expensive for such a basic piece of plastic (and I just bought 4 earth boxes which hub wasn't too happy about). So I have killed two birds with one stone! I had pliable plastic shelf liners on the shelves of my
seed starting shelf and finally took them down last week to have more air movement -duh! I should have done that sooner. Then I was trying to figure out what I could use for
potato towers so I could save money and voila! I can put two shelf liners together, put holes on the edges and tie them together with quick ties. So I have saved about $30 each!
I am going to make 3 and use two for
potatoes and try one out for leeks. I think I will have the longest leeks ever! I will post a photo after we get the holes in them and
potatoes planted inside and tell you how it is going. I just knew I would find
something to put
potatoes in to save space!
(I haven't gotten a rental garden after all so I am making due this year as best as I can.
