Ny sis just told me she got a steiod shot for her sinitus infection.........How would that happen? Shot in the head? Said it was working.. She sent an email , so I didnt ask yet??????????
I thought it was for muscles..

There are a few different kinds of steroid shots and they aren't just for muscles. Your sister probably got the shot in her arm or her rear end....not her head (although I supposed it would be possible). If a sinus infection is bad enough, the body needs a little extra help fighting it....the antibiotics wouldn't take care of it fast enough for her to feel relief after a day or so.

I was given steroid shots for my pregnancy....they help speed up the baby's lung development and are given in the rear end.

Now that you mention it, my daughter in law got that for the babys lungs too.
Steriod , I dont know where tho.
Her baby was a little over 5 pounds........16 months old now and happy little lark.

steroids decrease inflamation but I've never known anyone to get an injection for a sinus infection. Does she have recurrent sinus infections? Maybe the oral kind didn't work for her.

i've gotten them with sinus infections when the inflamation has caused major amounts of pain. they work faster than the oral kind.

a bad sinus infection can be painful. it makes my teeth hurt.
