HI-brown thumb here with a serious problem.My local county engenier repaired a road drain and I now have a swamp below my home-soggy till august. Is there any plant-s that would absorb lots of water or do I call army corps of enginers.Any help is greatly appreciated as I've never grown anything in this type of soil condition.

Canna lilies love boggy areas. The problem would be that you would have to lift them come fall. Cattails also like boggy areas. Weeping willows also like being near water but not in it. ditch lilies would also be happy in that place. Some of the ornamental grasses would also do well there. It's interesting that you have an excess of water. So many places now don't have enough water and are looking for plants that can handle drought instead. Good luck with your bog.

hello neko sorry for the delay. my fancy 17"flat screen monitor died & had to search high & low for the old tube type crt,(9yrs old & still working )vs. 2.5yr. old fancy-dancy flat screen marvel of planned obsolesence.Your solutions all sounde great &I'm looking for the plants now. hi! tkhooper apologies for the delay in snswering.Fancy 17"flat screen died after 2yr.searched high&low for antique 9yr old crt(which works great-bit on small side) but working.I thank you for your input, they all are great selections & will let you know how it grows. thanks very much for your help-tmhcjh

our local thrift shop has a ton of old tv's many of them very nice large ones. I was shocked when I went in awhile back.

Mine is 17", and I find that 790 x 150ish gives a fullscreen picture and post them as such-- with a smalller sized photo link, of course--; now I wonder if I should worry about it. It's about two years old. Brand name is LG.
