So there is a story behind this particular garden statue my sister got me for my birthday. When I was a little girl in England I had a stuffed pink pig. Well Dad used to read us stories at bedtime and put on puppet shows and before he left our room he'd tuck me in with my stuffed pig. It's actual name was just Pink Pig. Well he'd tell me that one day when I grew up I was going to marry Pink Pig.....and so I'd throw the pig out of the bed, declaring that no way was I going to marry a pink pig.

I shared a room at that time with my sister and had Pink Pig for many years, so when she saw this particular garden statue she had to get it for me! She said as soon as it came in the Crackerbarrel shop she bought it. He now has a comfortable home out in my garden.



She also got me this awesome "Ultimate Nail Care kit". I always do my nails, and so I'm excited to try it out. And another Yankee Candlee.....it's Peaches and Berries I think....smells really great! It's one of those that looks like the real fruit, the kind I'd always like to eat.



Just thought I'd share because I'm thrilled to have a new garden item, especially a Pink Pig! BTW, I had the real Pink Pig from when I was a baby in my crib, until I was 19. Then my sister accidentally put it in with the Goodwill stuff and I never saw him again. I'm too sentimental with things like that. So this is like Pink Pig reincarnated into an angel garden statue.

You should parade your flying pig around especially if you even come up to a situation like this one (let's just use L and M):
L: Honey, I want a new raised garden bed, you're going to build me on right?
M: Ha! I'll build you one when pigs fly...
L: But dear, they do fly...see...

I'm sure glad I married Mark and not a Pink Pig. I literally thought, as a child, that I was going to have to marry a pig.

That's why I thought I'd better tell the story, so you all didn't think I was weird getting excited over a pink pig statue.

I have a picture somewhere of me in my crib surrounded by a ton of stuffed animals, one being pink pig. I should look for it tomorrow and scan it on here.....My brother says it's his all time fav. pic of me when I was little.

I've seen a pig fly before.It was in a plane.It almost fell off;the plane was and open cockpit biplane.

I too have a flying pig---can't take a pic until I get the ones I have off of my camera--but he is a cutie--I painted him myself.

I have the desire to see a flying pig..
I have a white elephant watering pitcher, purchased at a garage sale many years ago.25c and it works great.

Dodge: I keep my flying pig in a German-made relish dish that I keep on my cedar chest---that is in my bedroom--(got that???)

Loz-- he sits do funny-like that I finally turned over a bowl and put a dish cloth over it so the 'pig' would be resting up a bit from the counter---

But if he needs a spanking--then I guess he needs a spanking----
