My Aunt, Mother and I spent yesterday digging up all these lily of the Valley that were about to choke out the Hasta's here at my place! We broke them apart and tried best we could to get the long white 'tubars' ( i believe you classify them as). Does anyone have any suggestion about keeping them Gone?
yikesI am not exagerating about the about to kill the hasta's.
I am disabled and can't be digging with shovels and all. If anyone has any suggestions on how we cant rid of them, besides the manual labor, I would GREATLY appreciate any and all suggestions angel

I try to take one day at a time -- but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Oooo, I don't know what to tell you.....lily of the Valley are VERY invasive. I have them planted in a spot where they can spread without much worry, but they can absolutely choke out other plants.

The only thing I think you could do is dig them all out, or like suzydaze suggested---move the Hosta's.

I love them and have a place for them. But I'm to far away to come play in the dirt with you. Good luck with them.

Sometimes as bad as what it sounds...you have to completely take everything out of the bed. Remove the unwanted plants and replant your wanted plants.

I'm dealing with Goutweed...I feel your pain.

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
