......... mooo

They need a good scrubbing and brushing out. I've never had an all white cow(well it's supposed to be white haha )before. He's gonna be beautiful when he's all cleaned up.

We ended up taking two so they won't be lonely.

Nope, not pets. They might not see the winter...if you know what I mean.

We might just start trading hay for cows in the spring and keeping them as long as we can before the extreme snow and cold hits then starting again.

Sounds awful but it's the cycle of life with beef cattle. I'm just glad that we have some again and this way I can look after them myself.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Well I just had to ask!!!
Whenever we would go on car trips when we were young, my dad said that the first one to see a brown cow would get chocolate milk! Of course Don and I had to carry that over to our kids and it's a family joke now! Even when we drive up to visit Brian, where we see lots of cows on the way.

Tamara - are they both bulls? Or could there be some little ones in the future?

I went up this morning to check them out, the white one is a female the red and white is a male. I couldn't really check them out last night because they were nervous...now they are fine.

Nope, poor little guy has already been snipped.

That is so cute! And so sad they are not pets! I'm afraid they would become pets to me and I wouldn't be able to part with them.

You know Shirls, the first time we got them...I couldn't eat any when it was time to 'do them up'. So I've learned not to name them...

You get used to it after awhile.

They are settling in very well. They are getting spoiled already, we give them grain as a treat. Now they go to the grain bowl and bawl. lol

The farmer that had them could barely feed them the basics...wish we could of taken more.
