It is hard to see in the view finder when the camera is in the sun and the subject is in the shade.LOL
Mama was mad when she realized I was there.
Next time I will use flash , and freak her out..LOL
She will probably leave tonite.. the babies are under her .. I got a photo of them, but not very good.

Best to go around her as little as possible. If you can see the nest from a distance, the Canon S3 should be able to get GOOD closeups, even from 50 feet away!.

The mama robin in my topic is pretty vicious. She defends those babies if you even get close to the nest.

Thanks Loz.Sheri, thorn. Your correct but the top of the nest has to be approached from aboe.....That was a christmas tree..LOL

did you stand on a ladder? I tried standing on a chair to get a picture of mine mother robin because her nest was up high too.

Heck no......I was standing on the ground.. Ladder is last resort for me, dumb me would fall......It is raining today.....I should go get another one.LOL
