I have a Mockingbird that has lived in my yard for 6 years now. We are so used to each other that he lets me walk up to within two feet of him. I lay apple slices covered with peanut butter on an old tabletop on our front deck. He and his Mrs. go crazy over them. I call him Mr. Mocky, or just Mocky for short.

Great pictures once again, Thorny!
I also have a mockingbird that has been hanging around for many years, but he's never come to eat at any of my feeders, nor the fruit that I put out on occassion.

I also think he is a darker grey than yours - would that be possible?

Yes there can be a lot of variation among individuals, OR, you could have a CATBIRD, a close cousin to the Mockingbird and Brown Thrasher. I have all three in my yard. There are THREE Brown Thrashers in my yard. Today, I noticed that Mr. Mocky has a mate again so I now have TWO Mockingbirds in my yard. The Catbirds will arrive a little later in the year.
