Yesterday evening my brother in law was driving home on the Trans-Canada highway when he noticed a transport pulled sideways on the road...he stopped to check what was going on.

The driver lost a load of mulch...in 56 L bags all over. He told b-i-l to take what he wanted even though they were busted open. So he took 5 bags for me and dropped them off, I only found out about it late last night. I guess the driver opened the rest of the 60 packs that was in the pallet and DUMPED it in the ditch.

I am trying to convince DH to go(it's a 10 minute drive) to shovel it in bags and take it home for me. Of all times for this to happen...when I'm not allowed to shovel. tapfoot

I don't care much for red mulch but when it's free I'll make due thumbup

B-i-l said what a mess on the road, can you imagine 60 jumbo bags of busted mulch spread for 100 feet on the highway lol

The driver said he was told to clean up by dumping the mulch and keeping the bags for proof. If I would of been there, it would of been dumped in the back of my truck. B-i-l had a car.

ah I see--I keep 3 or 4 50# dog food bags around so I can buy bulk mulch & such---and yes--I can see it is truely bad timing.--but it should be in the 'ditch' area for at least a little while.--right??

perhaps your DH will have time at some point.
