I've gardened and had flower beds for years, but am new to growing seed. quick question...are you supposed to water in seeds? I have it instilled in my mind that when you plant something you've gotta water it in....transplants, cuttings ect. but what about seeds? seems to me if your seed has to go in at, lets say 1/4" deep...if you water after you plant wouldn't it 'sink or swim'? I've also noticed seed packs don't tell you to water after you plant. just seems unatural to NOT water after you plant something, but are seeds different?

Yes, you need to keep most seeds damp all of the time. A light misting often is much better than a soaking.
