Hi all, we could use some extra prayers here- there have been 3 deaths here from at tornados that hit Gilcrest and Windsor here... not close to us but we are under tornado watch here too- right now it is nice and fairly calm but we feel thundery... the pics we are seeing on our local news are just terrible... whole neighborhoods destroyed.... just tragic... Nana
Tamara - we are fine here - lots of clouds and a little hail.. rain, wind but the tornados out on the plains are just terrible- there were 5 for sure and maybe 6 they said... over 100 homes damaged- some destroyed down to foundations... and lots of businesses and oh my the trees... huge old trees are just gone- they are having to bring in people with chainsaws and grinders to get them out of the way of the cleanup crews... it's one big mess there... Nana
Nana saw it on the afternoon news man it took out every thing we lived outside of Windsor for a while in the 70's. Could have sworn the "experts" then said it was impossible to have a tornado there. Glad your safe just hope our friends up there are safe. Prayers for all in my adopted home state.

Thanks you all.. I am sure all those people appreciate the prayers... our news people said the same thing Jimmy - that area was supposed to be "safe" all the tornados ususally go in the opposite direction... they have declared it a disaster area so they have help going in fast- power is being restored as they clear areas- they said the tornado that hit the neighborood was 1/2 mile across..... it's a wonder more people weren't killed... I am praying too that the weather there doesn't get bad tonight- if it rains again- the people whose houses are open to it will lose whatever they have left. Nana
An update , there was only one death they say- and only about 20 people who had to stay in a hosptial after treatment-- after seeing the pictures that's a miracle for sure.... still praying here. Nana
