cricket, that azalea gets morning sun. I don't fertilize. Maybe yours get too much sun or are planted too deep.

Beautiful flowers.

Thanks. I'm kind of a newbie in the gardening thing. I love it though.

I was eyeing some digitals at Wal-Mart yesterday. There some are very inexpensive ones but I wonder if they're any good. I don't know anything about them. Can someone recommend one that's simple to operate and not terribly expensive?

I'm not sure I know what you mean? As I said, I'm a bit of a newbie about gardening and some of the terms. The petals fall off and leave just the brown stub which I pinch off. Does that answer your question? :) What would "go to seed" be like?

The Joseph's Coat is fun and interesting because each bud looks a little different in the colors when it opens and then as it matures. There may be a few that are very similar but there's always a slight different and in some cases a pretty big difference.

I Started with a Fujifilm.......5.2
It is a good starter camera, so is Kodak 5.2
Nikon might have a goodie too. 5.2

They introduce you to the Macro and that makes for nice flower.....I still use it for places.

One nice thing of the Fuji ......It has a cradle to charge the camera.
I ordered it online.(cradle) no buying batteries....I like that alot.

Now canon was expensive and not cheap.
Fuji is under $200.

I'm using a cheap 5.0 megapixel camera, works good enough for me, I got it for $50 on sale at a furniture store.

I love your roses, especially the joseph's coat!!

No cradle, plain old batteries.

Life's ok, same as old, just in a smaller different house. The yard is really bugging me, because I'm out about every day, and the lawn just doesn't grow, guess I should get out there less often lol

The flower boxes are so pretty!!!!

I have 2 of something similar mounted on the rail on my front porch. It's a very shady area and I'm at a loss as to what to put in them in this year. When I first put them up I put purple Ajuga in there hoping it would act like it does at my aunt's house and drape over the pot she has them in. So pretty, especially when the purple spikes shoot up. I "kept care of 'em" but they died anyway and never draped. sigh... Suggestions on something else or what I could do to keep the Ajuga doing its thing? I like the idea of something "drapey." :)

Very pretty lily and flower boxes, Sheri!

Here are a few things blooming in my yard today...

It's hard to get a good picture of the true blue on these Centaurea Montanas...
[Linked Image]

More of my clematis which is acting very strange - to the right you can see flowers with 6 and even 7 petals on them -
to the left is the normal 8 petaled one!
[Linked Image]

Some osteospermum I planted 2 days ago... they are more magenta than they look here.

Continued from above...

A lovely white tulip
[Linked Image]

And one of my favorite blue flowering plants - Salvia Black and Blue
It's very hard to come by here, but I found 2 small plants about 2 months ago here way before it was safe to plant outside, and have been nursing them along. They have been rewarding me with these blue flowers!

Lynne, your flowers are beautiful. I love the black and blue. We have that here and next year I'm tempted to plant the entire flower garden with it. It's beautiful alone and very striking when planted in bunches.
