I'm hoping that someone knows what I'm doing wrong! Am I over watering? Do I need to replant in a bigger pot? I have white, then yellow spots, then yellow altogether leaves on my new squash plants. I've never grown any type of squash before, so I don't know what's normal. Is this normal?...or is there a problem that I don't know? I watch my plants every day... I just don't know what I'm doing wrong......thanks!

Looks like "Powdery mildew". Not sure how to treat it.

I found some links for you look it up. I've had this problem before never did get rid of it because it was at the end of the season with my plants so I didn't really try. But I hope you can do something.

I read the same thing about milk application at another place. It mentioned a Brazilian scientist that made that discovery. It suggested weekly applications.

I also found this:

Thanks... I'll try the baking soda method and let you know if it works!

yes.. powdery mildew and downey mildew are in high gear in the north east. With the wet cool weather.. now warm, its made for perfect conditions for it. A baking soda spray usually will do the trick for powdery mildew.
