Thanks for starting this Diane. I have been having connection problems all day.
All ways say a prayer and remember our vets and those now serving to keep us free. On a sad note I looked around today and the only flag I saw flying in front of a home was the one I have on the front of my house. I think that is truly shameful for people not to have time to remember even when they are off work for this day. Guess they are too busy with the BBQ and swimming to remember just what this day mean.

Well Jimmy - our flag is out every day- with 3 service men in the family and one is Iraq right now- it will fly every day- has since 9/11 , had to get a new one last yr though- windstorm tore that one up ...

My father served in WW 2 and in the korean 'conflict'.

Both my SIL's were and are in the military.

Chris (Em's DH) was in the navy for approx 6 years & is now in the navy rteserves--jhe just got back from Thialand a few days ago.

Valarie's DH (JJ) is in the air force reserves--and jsut got back from training in Hawaii--can you say awwww ???-----


Chris was to be in several memorial "services" today --all but 1 got cancelled--due to rain.

Nana I fly mine pretty much everyday with two grandsons in the Army. Bryce is back in Kuwait and Mike is finishing up his training and may ship out in the fall.

We have ex SIL-he is Army-in Iraq now, our SIL's Jon's BIL, Jason - he is Army.. Jon's brother is in the Army and getting ready to ship out soon too.. my nephew is Marines... home now after 2 tours in Iraq... and my grandson wants to go Army after high school- he is a senior this fall- was 18 yesterday..... doesn't seem possible he is anywhere close enough to even join, but will support any choice he makes.
