[font:verdana]We had 3 distinct strong thunderstorms this afternoon.
After each one was over, the sky was VERRRRRY dark to one side, but the sun came back out on the other side - PERFECT rainbow weather!!! So, after each one I ran outside with the camera to take pictures to share here.

None after storm #1
None after storm #2

BUT... while I was on the phone with my mom after #3, I had to hang up on her and run out and just TAKE IN the gorgeousness of the colors and the whole idea of rainbows - it's just sooooooooo magical you know?

This is across from our driveway. We call this "the Spanish house".
It's the only one of it's type in the entire neighborhood.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the vibrancy of the colors - I just stood in awe!

Wow, what wonderful pictures.... I love rainbows... and it is always so neat to see a double one- we see them a lot here too- never seem to get a good pic though-- you are good!

Only thing is... that in the 14 1/2 years we've been living here they have not given us the time of day. NOT ONCE! They are typical snotty NYers. A bit older, and winter in Florida. But... that said... I WILL print out a copy and try to approach them next time I see them in their driveway.

lynne, you could, print it out, and when you know they will be coming/going out a particular door, put it in that door with a note telling them that you took the rainbow and caught their house by accident and thought they might like a copy. kinda keep it light hearted, ya know?

and i think that there are neighbors like that everywhere.

Lynne--GREAT picture!!! you need to blow up a copy tht rainbow for your self.--one does nort get to see such a nice rainbow very ofen.

That bottom rainbow in the third pic is amazing!! How close to their house did you get? Or do you just have a nice zoom lens?? hehe
